Today is the Day – Let’s Get Physical!

online weight loss challenge

It’s so on!  Yes, today I’m kicking off “Let’s Get Physical” – the second weight loss challenge I’ve hosted this year.  I failed miserably last time around but I’m totally going for it this time.  Honestly, I really want to win.  Not for the prize but for better health and bragging rights!  In fact, when I win, I will donate the cash prize winnings to my favorite breast cancer organization.

The competition is super stiff.  There are almost 50 women participating – many of whom are bloggers – so I’m hoping we do a couple of blog hops during the next eight weeks so you can meet some of them!

If I win, I will donate this prize winnings to the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation.

So what’s my plan?

1. Go Paleo.  Tuesday will be my first full-fledge Paleo day.  I’m following the book called Practical Paleo by Diane Sanfilippo.  This is truly going to be a struggle as I know I’m addicted to sugar, sweets, and every processed food known to man.  I must remember: real food.  I’m committing to 30 days and I’m most excited to see if I feel different.

2.  Exercise.  This is no joke.  Did I tell you my awesome trainer is running off and getting married and won’t be in the gym for like three whole weeks during the challenge?  How dare she, right?  So, I’ll be busting out my Jillian Michaels DVD or the jogging stroller until my little one goes back to school.  Time in the gym is my biggest obstacle as my girl hates it there.  There is no convincing a four-year-old that mommy is trying to drop 20 lbs.

Oh my God.  Diet and exercise.  Novel, right?

Coming up later this week, I will debut a series called Breast Cancer 101 on Thursday and this weekend a little sneak peek at what I’m working on outside of the blogosphere.

Finally, you have to check out the new digs at The Trend Tribe.  It looks so good.  I’ll have a new post up over there next weekend about an amazing foundation called Mauli Ola.

Now I’m off to eat some bacon.
