Earlier this year, while we were in Hawaii for a family vacation, my sister’s friend – who had joined us on the trip – recommended the YA novel she was reading. She thought I might be interested because the main characters were fighting cancer and she knew my history with the disease. So, when she was in the pool one afternoon, I grabbed the book from her lounge chair. It was John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars and it heartbreakingly fantastic.
I loved it so much that I couldn’t put it down. The problem was, she was reading it at the same time! I’m really old school when it comes to reading books; I like to actually flip the pages of a novel. But my husband suggested I download my own copy of the book onto his e-reader. I was a little reluctant but it didn’t make a difference once I got the hang of swiping the pages. Yay for e-readers! Want to win one of your own?
