Adventures in Pinterest: December

I swear Adventures in Pinterest has really changed the way I pin things now. I am no longer mindlessly re-pinning. I pin with intention – mostly. I also pin for engagement (but that’s a whole different story and one you will eventually hear about). Anyway…on to this month’s projects!

December has been prime for pinning, hasn’t it? Admittedly, I am beyond ready for something in my feed that is not a Christmas cookie or decoration. However, today’s projects are both Christmas related.

First up: Addressing Holiday Cards

Here’s the original pin and related post from Nest of Posies.  I loved the handwriting, vintage postage stamps and washi tape. I would be excited to get this card in the mail! It makes me want to see what’s inside. Love.

Here’s my version:

This was actually kind of fun. I prefer to hand address my holiday cards and dressing up the envelope with washi tape and funky handwriting made it less of a painstaking task.

Second: Holiday Treat Gifts

Here is the original pin and related post from Catered Crop. Though the original pin features the paper tag, I was drawn to what was inside the mason jar. We have several family friends with allergies and I thought a jar full of non-chocolate, peanut-free candies was a great gift alternative.

Here’s my version. Ok, not rocket science but definitely just as cute.

So, what did you make this month? Add a link below. If you aren’t a blogger but want to play along, you can post your photo to my Facebook page!

  1. Ah . . . so glad you liked my jar of Twizzlers. I had no idea how popular an idea it would be. I hope it’s a big hit with your family and friends.

  2. Officially. I wish I’d seen these before I addressed my Christmas cards. I’m pinning this for next year!

  3. Love the twizzlers – so easy! I love the handwriting and the way you styled the photo. I love hand-addressing invitations, cards, etc. but I made the mistake of hand addressing in calligraphy all of my wedding invitations and I did not have a small list. I say calligraphy… but it was probably more like fancy handwriting with a calligraphy pen because I actually got a B in calligraphy in college… yes, it was a course… because I was good at the design but not adhering to the proper form of calligraphy- ha!
