Resurrect and Rock Your Resolutions – Fitbit Flex Giveaway!

I was at the gym this morning in what is becoming my new favorite group class. It’s called STRONG and we basically lift free weights for 45 minutes. We also do a lot of squats, lunges, planks, push ups and something called a stink bug. I am undoubtedly the weakest chick in the class. In a sea of green and purple weights, there I am with my yellow ones. I struggle through every workout. My face gets beet red and I can only laugh at my inability to do as many reps as the rest of the class.

Since the new year, I’ve stopped comparing. I’ve stopped worrying about what the girl next to me is doing. Instead, I find myself pushing harder and looking forward to the next workout. It might not be the perfect workout but it’s a workout – and that’s how I’m rocking my resolutions.

My best bloggy friends and I have put together what we think is a really great giveaway to help resurrect and rock your own resolutions. One lucky winner will receive a fancy new Fitbit Flex (in your choice of color) to track your steps, distance, and calories burned. One of the functions the Fitbit Flex offers is that it tracks your sleep quality at night, too. Super cool. You’ll also win a $50 gift card for iTunes to download some new jams (can I recommend The Monster by Eminem and Rihanna – ah, good stuff to workout to). And finally, a pair of aqua colored Yurbuds headphones. I personally use the Yurbuds and love them because the fit is phenomenal.

What are you waiting for? Let’s rock our resolutions together! Using the Rafflecopter widget below, enter to win by leaving a comment. Optional entries available for following us on Pinterest, Facebook, and Twitter.  (if you are mobile, click the “a Rafflecopter giveaway” link)

  1. Time!

  2. I’m actually a huge gym rat… I LOVE going but my dang kids are my biggest roadblocks 🙂 Getting them into gym care can be tough, but once they are there? Woohoo! Time to get my fitness on! Awesome giveaway guys!

  3. What a great giveaway! My biggest roadblock is motivation, there’s always something else I want to be doing!

  4. My biggest roadblock is me every time I start to succeed I let the negativity of other sabotage my success, but I’m working on it .

  5. Love this, especially since my daughter goes through a set of headphones a week.

  6. Oooh I would love a class like that, 45 minutes of free weights – best thing about it is that you can feel how hard you worked the next day. Go You!

  7. Holly barton says:

This is awesome. My fitness group will be super pumped for this giveaway.

  8. Stephanie Phelps says:

My biggest road block is myself I want it but have no idea how to get myself started and stay with it!

  9. I absolutely LOVE my Fitbit ONE! What a great giveaway!

  10. Time management. And just getting there.

  11. I have trouble staying motivated.

  12. Kids activities often prevent me from getting to the gym.

  13. I would like to say my problem is just lack of time, but honestly, I hate working out. So anything that helps motivate or keep me on track is awesome in my book! Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway, Wendy!

  14. This is an awesome giveaway! My rapidly expanding backside will thank you.

  15. For a while my biggest roadblock was my kids – they HATED the kids club at my gym and the only other option was to go when the hubs came home- which didn’t last to long considering he comes home late. I started going in the early morning hours – which worked fantastically… until I started watching Dexter on Netflix – and since I can’t stop at one episode I end up going to sleep very late. Gotta get back to the gym!!

  16. As a mom, grad student, photographer and teacher finding time and energy make it hard for me. I HAVE to learn to just put myself first

  17. You rock your yellow weights. Very impressed, and for the record my husband loves his fitbit! Great giveaway! Erin

  18. When I exercise I feel great and look better, too. I should really start doing that again. Motivation is my roadblock. Thank you in advance for my new FitBit! 😉

  19. I struggle with comparison as well. I hate going out and exercising because I feel like an idiot. I just have to remind myself that I should be proud for doing something healthy and it doesn’t matter whether I have a red face or can’t breathe.

  20. My biggest roadblock is finding the time!

  21. My roadblock is prioritizing it. I look at all the things I have to do and everything else becomes more important than exercise. Sigh.

  22. Time is my biggest roadblock to everything. Maybe there’s a time management specialist available for download too?

  23. I hate exercise. I just need to figure out what I’d actually enjoy.

  24. Fabulous giveaway! Good music download recommendation. I love my Fitbit…would love to try some better headphones

  25. Ahh the chance for a fitbit! Loving you right now Wendy

  26. Hahahaha I wondered if you were thinking of me 😉

  27. I would love one of these… Maybe it would get me to work out more when I see I have not burned enough. And, I would love to track my sleep… Or lack thereof. 🙂

  28. This would be great for my walks. This is my year to lose the weight.

  29. The weather.

  30. My biggest roadblock to fitness is lack of time with 2 young kids. But I try my best to give at least 20 minutes a day to some kind of exercise. I do it for the endorphins!

  31. Biggest roadblock: motivating myself during the few hours when I have childcare. Sometimes I wish I had an au pair!!

  32. Wild Orchid says:

My biggest roadblock is my 3 year old! I don’t hardly have a moment to myself.
Entered the rafflecopter as “Wild orchid”

Thanks for the chance to win!

  33. I totally struggle with motivation. More than that…it’s actually probably fatigue. I suffer from horrible insomnia (which I love the Fitbit Flex for tracking sleep!), and when I’m just exhausted, I have no motivation to workout. 🙁

  34. My biggest roadblock is myself to be honest. I stopped making any effort after it became difficult to eat because of bad teeth (now getting fixed) and went right back to old habits. I’m thankful I am aware of the issue and willing to correct my mistakes so I can keep moving forward on my health and fitness journey. Tired of being tired and overweight. And that muffin top has got to go! LOL

  35. definitely time! I used to schedule my workouts but haven’t even done that lately.

  36. My computer! I say I’ll just sit down to check a few e-mails and blogs, but then here I am 2 hours later!

  37. Having the time, for sure!

  38. My roadblock is tempting foods. My motivation is living right near the world’s most beautiful beaches, and wanting to wear a cute two piece.

  39. I need this!! My biggest roadblock is myself. Seriously. I can talk myself out of working out and into eating anything.

  40. Food! If I eat healthy and focus on that, I’m fine. The minute I allow myself sweets, rich food (cream sauces), and alcohol it goes downhill and it’s really hard to get back on track. I exercise regularly, but my eating habits can almost cancel that out! Been back on the health train for the last few days…

  41. Francisca S. says:

It’s tough to get motivated when the results aren’t showing — that’s my biggest roadblock. Also… temptations!! Thanks for this awesome giveaway!

  42. I say, time, but it’s more like time management. I could make time, but I don’t. What’s my damn problem?

  43. Finding time. I had learned how to manage time for exercise on a regular basis with one kid, but having #2 and #3 virtually back to back, I’m struggling to find enough hours in the day. But, this might be the motivation I need. Thanks!

  44. Started working out at a cross fit gym a year ago. Am in much better shape and finally losing some of the lbs I put on after cancer dx.

  45. Love it!

  46. Self sabotage and consistency is my biggest challenge yet I try to mix it up as much as possible to stay

  47. ellen casper says:

Lack of time is my biggest problem

  48. Motivation for sure.

  49. I love this giveaway! Great prizes! I have trouble with motivation. I know what I need to do to get into shape, I am just having trouble getting started and not getting discouraged when I don’t see results immediately. Thanks for the opportunity to win a fitbit:)

  50. I stay motivated because I drag my dad to the gym with me. We keep each other on track and are always pushing each other to go further in the gym than we have before.

  51. Michelle Roberie says:

I stay motivated by hanging my favorite bikini on my wall and have to see it everyday! I can’t wait to fit back in it and be confident about my body again. I’ve got a long road but I’m in it to win it.

  52. My biggest road block is motivation and the cost. I used to take a class like that. We called it body pump. I loved it. I wish I never stopped.

  53. leslie r. says:

Exhaustion. Lazy. Motherhood. All excuses. I need to get my butt in gear.

  54. My biggest roadblock is motivation after a whole day of work, dinner, and homework with the kiddo.

  55. My biggest roadblock is just getting out of the house, the worst!

  56. Motivation, time management or lack thereof, are roadblocks for me. Fear of something, maybe change, even if it will be to my benefit. A combination of all of the above. I was fit at one point, felt great. Just got sidetracked, but am more than ready and these would help make the transition easier. Thank you for the opportunity.

  57. Allison Galland says:

I am dying to give the Fitbit Flex a try!! My friend has one and she loves it!

  58. My biggest roadblock right now is my pregnancy! I want to stay fit, but I haven’t gotten that 2nd trimester energy surge yet. Doing the best I can, though. 🙂

  59. Kelly Donovan says:

My biggest roadblock: comparing myself to others. I know it should not be an issue, but when your gym is filled with “The Bod Squad,” and your membership is more in “The Lard Squad”….but I am still trying! I have gone dairy-free and am working on gluten-free; if I can do that, I can most definitely keep exercising!

  60. Sarah wilkinson says:

Myself. I seem to always have priorities I put ahead.

  61. I was really motivated in the beginning when I lost 150lbs…not motivated anymore with 3 kids & now a job haven’t had the time! I need this fitbit to get myself back to it so I can lose the rest of the weight I want & get really toned!!! Please can I get one 🙂

  62. Melissa B says:

Finding the motivation. It’s hard when you have worked your but off for months and have not seen even an ounce of change. It very discouraging and then finding your motivation after that is the worst.

  63. My biggest roadblock is finding time! It’s hard for me to carve out time for myself. It doesn’t help that the gym is 20 minutes away :\

  64. Great giveaway! I could definitely use this! 🙂

  65. Kristen M says:

My biggest roadblock is me. I love running and get out to run 3 times a week. But when I’m stuck with finding indoor workouts (like strength training or a cardio dvd), I tend to put it off thinking I’m too busy or not coordinated enough.

  66. My biggest roadblock is me! I would rather go to the dentist than exercise! My biggest motivation though is my first grandson coming in April! Yeah!

  67. My biggest challenge is myself. It’s very easy not to change and pretend I’m ok with it. Getting out of my comfort zone has been a big challenge.

  68. My addiction to fast food definitely holds me back

  69. my biggest roadblock is time and motivation to workout early when i have the time

  70. My biggest roadblock to fitness is myself. I am often lazy and make excuses not to exercise.

  71. Time and the preference for sleep

  72. My roadblock is time 🙁 I have no time…and I am trying to make time.

  73. This would be awesome! I’ve been looking into Fitbit products for a while. What a great way to start a new year with healthy goals!

  74. Carinn H. says:

Honestly, it’s making the effort to carve out that time to work out or just putting other things on the list to accomplish tomorrow instea of moving my workout to that tomorrow list.

  75. BobbiJo Pentney says:

My biggest roadblock is motivation to get off of my butt.

  76. I can relate to just about every post on here. My biggest problem is me, I can create all the excuses in the world, but that is exactly what they are just excuses.

  77. I am on the right path just need a little help….fitbit may be it

  78. Heather Cram says:

Motivation is my problem. As well as healthy eating

  79. I stay motivated by thinking about what I want out of getting fit! And I think my biggest road block would be sweets. And room. I LOVE playing Just Dance on my wii, but my furniture always gets in the way!

  80. Stephanie says:

I think my biggest roadblock to fitness time. I can’t always convince myself to actually go and get a good workout in, and tend to put sleep or work before working. I think a good way to stay motivated which has improved my motivation is to have a set plan written out for each week! I put pictures of fitness inspirations on the calendar to inspire me to get fit!

  81. Waking up is my problem. The silent alarm in the fitbit flex will hopefully wake me up.

  82. I think my biggest roadblock is trying to do too much too quickly, so I burn out, start over, burn out…

  83. I am addicted to food….lol. I also have problems calculating my calories burned. I would love a Fitbit.

  84. Def. time

  85. Brittany Whitley says:

My biggest roadblock to fitness is that I’m 25 and I have never had my driver’s license. I have a membership to Planet Fitness but I don’t get there as often as I like because I’m constantly having to bum a ride from friends, which is few and far between because of my job, or I ask my mom for a ride. I have no need to get my license right now so I kind of just get to the gym whenever it’s possible.

  86. Mike Dalton says:

My biggest roadblock to fitness is time! I’m a full-time employee, grad student, husband, and father…… Finding time is nearly impossible 🙂 Thanks!

  87. I stay motivated so my daughter doesn’t develop some of the bad habits I have in the past.

  88. Time & having the energy.

  89. Just realized your giveaway ends on the same day I’ll be traveling to KC for my 3-month check-up! 🙂

  90. Finding the time is my biggest issue.

  91. I never seem to have enough time to get a great workout

  92. my biggest roadblock is not having an accurate way to track calories burned

  93. It may sound lame, but my biggest roadblock is the weather and time. It’s always dark when I leave home for work and dark when I come home. The constant darkness and cold weather puts me in a slump and I’m unmotivated to even leave my place.

  94. My biggest roadblock is me. I have a hard time getting started. Once I do, I enjoy it.

  95. Teresa Thompson says:

I have a hard time staying motivated during the winter months.

  96. What a great giveaway – I SO need these 😉

  97. probably thinking i can start tomorrow!

  98. Lack of motivation, and health issues are my biggest roadblock.
